This is a set of 25 mock ballots that have been marked as if a voter had completed the ballot. These are intended for use with the Train the Trainer class or for practice.
There are 24 races to be counted on these ballots. The 13 races on page 1 are candidate races and include an option for a write-in candidate. The 11 races on the back page are Questions (Yes/No choices).
A few ballots in each set have voter intent or technical issues that require decisions by the election judges. These are indicated by a small box in the bottom-left corner of the second page containing star(s). The key to the ballot issues can be found in a document called “Ballot Issues Stars Key.”
These mock ballots are designed to be printed on legal-size paper, two-sided. If possible, print in color so that the vote markings show the blue ink.
At the bottom of the second page is a “Ballot Box” number. This is to make it easier to reorganize the groups of ballots at the end of training.
