Congress is the recipient of an intelligence report from FBI Director Kash Patel with allegations that China planned to mass-produce U.S. driver’s licenses in an attempt to affect the 2020 election to favor Joe Biden. If true, the report states that the fake licenses would have been used to facilitate fraudulent mail-in ballots.

Just the News reported on June 16, 2025, that the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley (R-IA) had requested the information from the Bureau because he felt that the intelligence report had not been fully vetted, and had been quickly dismissed. Director Patel praised the oversight work of the Committee, and the partnership between the FBI and Chairman Grassley.

Consider how this plot, if corroborated, was going to be carried out. It relied on fake voters submitting mail-in ballots.

What could stop that? NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS (except absentee ballots with strict regulations). Even if a foreign adversary smuggled in millions of fake driver’s licenses, in-person voting would require a living, breathing person to appear at the polling place, show the ID, and be on the voter roll. We know from the invasion into the U.S. of millions of illegal aliens, that we would notice if millions showed up with fake IDs to cast ballots.
